- With 13% of average annual growth of their accounts, the solidary sector recorded growth exceeding the national economy.
- 5.5 million of partners and more than 16 million Colombians benefiting from solidary sector reported portfolio top 11.7 billion pesos and deposits of more than 6.04 billion pesos.
- The exercise of supervision has allowed reaffirm the reliability in the sector, debug it, and generate a better business performance of organizations.
Avoid claims in the sector and loss of contributions and savings through interventions, jacks general possession, to manage and to settle 38 organizations, realization of 9 Days of Decentralized Supervision in different cities of the country oriented toward the new scheme of risk supervision where was performed the inspection process to 298 organizations solidarity, increase in main accounts of the organizations in the solidary sector, increased of the coverage of supervision, greater frequencies in the periodicity of reports of solidarity organizations and new technological developments to support the functions of supervision and facilitate the provision of services to the sector and the community, were major fronts of The Superintendence of the Solidary Economy in the period August 2011 - August 2012.
The Solidarity Sector in figures
The Superintendence of the Solidary Economy supervises nearly 6,000 enterprises of the solidarity economy between cooperatives, funds of employees and mutual associations located in more than 900 municipalities in the country. They integrate more than 5.5 million of Colombians through services that favoring the social and economic inclusion of themselves and their families. Nearly 16 million of Colombians have indirect relation with solidarity economy sector.
The sector supervised registers 5.437 solidarity entities, they have assets of $22.196.714 million, the portfolio totals amounts $11.705.693 million, the deposits exceed $6.040.525 million, the social capital $5.764.790 million, the heritage $9.413.814 million, the revenues $19.293.639 million.
The Superintendence of the Solidary Economy watch 185 cooperatives of savings and credit, 1,466 funds of employees and 150 mutual associations, among others.
The Solidary sector has 5.305.543 partners and generates 81.994 jobs.
Stands out the presence of women: about 49% of partners are female, making them an active actor in the decision-making and development of the sector.

Achievements of the Superintendence in the 2011-2012 year
In addition to the financial results of the sector, the exercise of supervision allowed:
· Avoid accidents in the sector and loss of contributions and savings. Through interventions - jacks general possession, to manage and to liquidate to 38 organizations.
· Greater frequency to the periodicity of reporting of solidarity organizations to make more timely monitoring, alerts and analysis of the situation of the sector.
· Adapt and implement the information grabber, to receive directly the financial information reporting by supervised entities.
· Implementation of administrative careers through merit-competition.
· Subscribe agreement with Central de Inversiones S.A., to purchase and persuasive and coercive collection of fines and contribution rate.
· Fostering of the culture of self-control in the employees of the entity
· Strengthening and renovation of technological platform.
· Realization of 9 days of Decentralized Monitoring in different cities of the country Oriented towards the new scheme of risk supervision where took place the process of inspection to 298 Solidarity organizations.
· Of the 12.334 Associated Work Cooperatives registered with the Chambers of Commerce of the country to the date have obtained recognition and authorization to operate 3,439 Cooperatives and Pre-Cooperative of Work Associate, where the remaining have entered into causal of liquidation of non-compliance with the regulations.
· In agreement cooperation with the DGRV of Germany it is working on the elaboration of the Good Governance Code that will apply to organizations in the Solidary sector monitored from 2013.
· Development of Trainings to the supervisors of the missionary areas concerning the topics of Risk Management System and implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards.
· Of the 187 Cooperatives supervised by the Financial Delegatura, 42 cooperatives improved its credit rating.
Main Challenges 2013
· Development of an electronic manual with the themes of greater public consultation.
· Modernization of the Supervision model with an approach based on risk and international standards of financial information an auditing in the sector supervised.
· Develop a strategy to start the processes of voluntary liquidation of the Cooperative and Pre-Cooperative of Associated Work that are into dissolution and liquidation causal.
· Design, implement and document the entire system of information security according to the requirements of the ISO 27001 standard.
· Maintenance and renewal of the certification of the system of quality management ISO 9001: 2008 and GP 1000: 2009 granted by ICONTEC for the years 2005 and 2007 respectively
· Deploy the entity inside the system of environmental management according to the requirements of the Standard ISO 14001
· Strengthening and renovation of Technological Platform.
· Enlargement and virtualization of the center of computation of the entity.
· Redesign of the website of the entity according to the requirements of Government online GEL3.0
The balance of the Superintendence of the Solidarity Economy was presented within the framework of the Public Hearing of Accountability of Accounts of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit and its 17 entities affiliated and linked, realized on 26 November in the Luis Angel Arango library in Bogotá city.
The Hearing Public Accountability, based on the law 489 of 1998, aimed to introduce and show to the citizenship management of public administration and answer your questions and concerns in a space of discussion open to the public on their plans, programs and projects.
