SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED SESSION OF SUPERVISION IN MONTERIA

• Maintenance of confidence in the sector, technical supervision, institutional modernization, modernization of the model of supervision with approachbased in risk, challenges of the Superintendence.
• Presentation of the Guide of Good Governance for the organizations supervised by the Superintendence of the Solidary Economy.

As part of the strategy of expansion of coverage of services of the Superintendence, ended successfully the session institutional of Supervision Decentralized with integral character to the Department of Córdoba.

In the Act of installation of the session the Superintendent Enrique Valencia Montoya recommended to the managers of cooperatives and funds of employees strengthen corporate governance and good practices of management in these organizations, so as joint efforts from the business integration to continue the construction of a sustainable solidary sector. "Keep in mind that the autonomy and self-management must be exercised with business criteria to ensure the sustainability accounting, financial, administrative and operational of the organizations". said Valencia Montoya.

Also presented the vision of work of the institution for the coming years for example for saving and credit cooperatives, and funds employed and mutuals that they manage the public resources is working on a scheme of supervision by risk in order to that these entities implement systems of management and control of risks in own of their business and in international standards of financial reporting and auditing in the monitored sector. Also is will be made a review and reform of the Legal Basic Circular to strengthen the prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism among other things.

During the session was presented the Guide to Good Governance for the organizations supervised by the Superintendence of the solidary Economy, which aims to give to the partners, managers, administrators, organs of control and surveillance of the solidary organizations, an instrument of internal rules, whose application may mitigate, minimize and/or control the risks inherent to making decisions; as well improving relations between partners, administration, monitoring and control bodies and users of the services provided by organizations of the solidary sector.

The call to the organizations in the country "is to take it as a guide and going from theory to practice implementing the Code of Good Governance to the inside of each Solidary Organization. Although the guide is not mandatory, expected that in the assemblies of the year 2014 the supervised to adopt Codes of Good Governance. Said Superintendent Valencia Montoya in the supervisory Conference which was held in the Auditorium of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia in March 11.

SOLIDARY SECTOR SITUATION OF CÓRDOBA
 
Based on figures reported to date by solidarity organizations under the supervision of the Superintendence of the Solidarity Economy, the solidary sector of Córdoba recorded 16 organizations, of the 3,998 that have been reported so far your financial information across all the country. These figures are partial to taking into account missing even for reporting information more than 27 organizations in the Department.

Together, these companies registered assets by 67.713 million pesos; the portfolio sum 18.373 million; the deposits 132.829 million and incomes 66.096 million. The solidary sectors of the Department associate to 5.471 peoples and generate 281 jobs.
