In the Act of installation of the institutional session of decentralized monitoring in Pasto, the Superintendent Enrique Valencia Montoya presented the vision of work of the institution for the coming years.

For the cooperatives of saving and credit, and employee funds and mutuals that they manage the public resources, we are working on a monitoring scheme for risks in order that these entities implement systems of management and control of the risks own of their business and in international standards of financial information and auditing in the monitored sector. On this issue, the Superintendent said: "our target is to start to evolve to the Administration for risks in the organizations of the sector of the economy solidary based on the existing regulation.

Also in 2013 the Superintendence of the Solidary Economy will carry out a review and reform of the Legal Basic Circular to strengthen the prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism among other issues.

Likewise, the Superintendent urged to the representatives of the solidary sector to work for greater governance, to the institutional capitalization of the companies, to promote greater participation of partners in the management of enterprises and to even more professionalize the class leader through adequate training of partners. "If these recommendations are listen we going to ensure the reliability and sustainability of solidarity organizations, the sector will be more competitive and achieve greater participation and competitiveness in the market," said Superintendent Valencia.

In 2012 the Superintendence of the Solidary Economy developed together with the German Confederation of Cooperatives - DGRV a guide of Good Government for the organizations supervised by the Superintendence of the Solidarity Economy, with the objective of providing to the partners, managers, administrators, organs of control and surveillance of the solidary organizations, an instrument of internal rules, whose application can mitigate, minimize and/or control the risks inherent in making decisions; as also improving relations between the partners, organs of administration, monitoring and control, and users of the services provided by the organizations of the solidary sector. "The call to the organizations is taking it as a guide and going from theory to practice implementing the Code of Good Governance to the inside of each Solidary Organization. Although the guide is not mandatory, is expected that in the assemblies in the year 2014, the supervised adopt codes of Good Governance. Said Superintendent Valencia Montoya on the Decentralized Supervision Session aimed to the representatives of the solidary sector of Nariño.

NARIÑO SOLIDARY SECTOR SITUATION

Based on figures reported to date by the solidarity organizations under the supervision of the Superintendence of the Solidarity Economy, the solidary sector of Nariño recorded 75 organizations, i.e. the 1.93% of the 5.544 that have reported your financial information. These figures are partial to taking into account missing that even it remains for reporting information more than 30 organizations in the Department.

By type of organization, the solidary sector of Nariño is composed by a savings and credit cooperative, 16 of associated work, 29 funds of employees and other 29 of the real sector. Altogether, these companies registered assets by 224.384 million pesos; the sum portfolio 111.258 million; deposits exceed the 34.901 million; surplus 7.889 million and income 280.569 million. The solidary sector of the Department associated to 55.820 people and generates 3.178 jobs.
