Installs monitoring sessions in Tunja

The Superintendent of the Solidarity Economy, Enrique Valencia Montoya, installed the Session of Monitoring Decentralized directed to the solidary sector of Boyacá, this February 27 in Tunja.

The Superintendent said: "the aim of our management is committed to protect the interests of members and the community, building trust and strengthening the sector as an alternative to social and economic development of Colombia. To do this, we are working on the modernization of the supervision model with a risk-based approach and international standards of financial and audit information in the monitored sector".

"This year will be 23 sessions of Decentralized Supervision in different cities of the country; there we will convene at the leadership of the solidary sector in each region. It will be a space for instruction and present about the System of Administration of Portfolio Risk, International Standards of Financial Reporting and Good Governance”. Said the Superintendent Valencia Montoya.

Also, he notes that in 2013 the Superintendence of the Solidary Economy will be a review and reform of the Legal Basic Circular to strengthen the prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism among other issues.

In 2012 the Superintendence of the Solidary Economy developed together with the German Confederation of cooperatives - DGRV a guide of Good Government for the organizations supervised by the Superintendence of the Solidary Economy, with the objective of providing partners, managers, administrators, organs of control and surveillance of the solidary organizations, an instrument of internal rules, whose application can mitigate, minimize and/or control the risks inherent in making decisions; as also improve relations between partners, organs of administration, monitoring and control, and users of the services provided by organizations in the solidary sector. In 2013 this guide will be socialized in Supervision Decentralized Sessions through training on the topic.

"Since the autonomy of the organizations and with the support of public institutions, we must guide our management to obtain a common purpose: reaffirm the democratic identity, participatory, equitable and solidary of the sector to increase his participate in economic and social development of the country", said Superintendent Valencia Montoya, on the Decentralized Supervision session to organizations of solidary economy in the Department of Boyacá.

SITUATION OF THE SOLIDARY SECTOR OF BOYACÁ
According to the reported data’s to date by the solidary organizations under the supervision of the Superintendence of the Solidary Economy, the solidary sector of Boyacá recorded 146 organizations of the 5.534 that have reported so far his financial information across the country.

Together, these companies registered assets by 671.180 million of pesos; the portfolio sum 449.176 million, the deposits overcomes 307.894 million, the exceed 11.030.148.703 million and the incomes 343.956 million. The solidary sector of these departments had associated to 88550 people and generates 1402 jobs.
